Tierpoint

HVAC Construction

TierPoint, a data storage center, needed to increase capacity to cool down their servers in order to expand and meet a higher demand. The project required the installation of a 500-ton fluid cooler, the largest HVAC of its kind to be installed in North America. Our team served as general contractor, carefully coordinating every step that led to lifting this massive cooler to the roof with a 200-ton crane. We also self-performed the fluid cooler installation, as well as the fabrication and installation of piping.

McCormick Place HQ Hotel & Event Center

HVAC Construction

The McCormick Place HQ Hotel & Event Center project included the addition of a 40-story hotel to the existing McCormick Place, with accompanying restaurant, bar, and food court. The hotel expansion, designed to help invigorate and drive more business into the neighborhood, was a large-scale project that required a workforce of more than 60 workers. Ortiz installed riser piping throughout the hotel, as well as heat pumps for each hotel room.
